Vilandre Heating was founded by Art Vilandre in 1935 and first operated in a small office in Grand Forks, ND. The company was founded on reliable hometown service and offered the first type of automated heating systems that were powered by coal. Over time the company has grown exponentially, adding a complete sheet metal shop, offering the first air conditioning systems, and in 1976 incorporating a seamless gutter division.

After over six decades of operation, the company expanded its services in 1996 to include a full-service plumbing division, becoming the business that is today known as Vilandre Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing Inc. The company has now been in operation for over 80 years and continues to remain true to the goal of providing exceptional service and products to our loyal customers.

Jeff has been with the company for over three decades and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota. He is on the board of directors for numerous local committees and is involved in several professional industry organizations. Jeff’s favorite part of the family business is interacting with customers.


General Manager/Owner

A Universal Technical Institute graduate with extensive continuing education training certifications, Jason has been with the Vilandre team for over two decades. In addition to working with great people, the opportunity to do something different every day and the satisfaction of a job well done are among the top reasons he enjoys working for the company. Jason proudly joined the Vilandre ownership team in December of 2016.


Service Manager/Owner

A Northland Community & Technical College graduate, Travis has been with the Vilandre service team since 2003. He strives to give all customers a great service experience. Travis enjoys working with a family-owned business large enough to tackle customers' complex needs, yet small enough to truly care about all of their needs. He proudly joined the Vilandre ownership team in December of 2016.


Finance/HR Manager/Owner

Tyler is a business administration & finance graduate of the University of North Dakota. He worked in a number of roles at Vilandre throughout high school and college. Tyler oversees most of the company’s financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable and Human Resources. He believes that our employees and our vendors deserve the same satisfaction experience as our customers. Tyler proudly joined the Vilandre ownership team in December of 2016.


Plumbing Manager

As Plumbing Manager, Kurt oversees the entire plumbing department, which includes estimating. He has a master plumber’s license and is a member of the Grand Forks Traders and Builders Exchange. Kurt has been a part of the Vilandre team for nearly two decades, and likes working with his fellow employees and tackling new challenges that occur on the job every day.


Sales & Installation Manager

Gene has been with the company nearly four decades and handles a wide variety of tasks including sales, estimating, customer service, and installation employee training and management. He thoroughly enjoys ensuring that each and every customer receives the best service possible, and working for this family-friendly business filled with exceptional employees.


Seamless Gutter Manager

Clayton joined the Vilandre team in October of 2016 as Seamless Gutter Manager. He received his training from a forty-year employee who has now retired. Clayton is committed to working closely with customers to ensure a total seamless gutter customer satisfaction experience. He joined Vilandre because of “their commitment to excellence and their dedication to great service and values”.
